Homeschool Art Classes for the Great Artist Within Every Student
Homeschool Art Education Packages Grades 1–6
The Great Artist Program offers 3 packages designed for students in grades 1–6. Each package features 12 different masterpieces from renowned artists over the centuries. Within our homeschool art classes, students will have the opportunity to recreate breathtaking art by these famed artists, from Van Gogh’s Starry Night to Frida Kahlo’s Parrots.
The online art education packages for grades 1–6 help students unlock their creative potential and develop a sense of self-belief. In our guided courses, students learn the techniques, skills, vocabulary, and composition necessary to build confidence in their ability to draw and create something they’re proud to show off.
Our packages for grades 1–6 include the following:
- 7 Hours of Content covering art techniques, art history, art appreciation, critique, and essential art vocabulary
- 12 Online Art Classes featuring 12 pieces of art from master artists that students get to recreate
- 4 Video Segments in every online class, including segments about the artist, the art, and follow-along drawing and coloring guides

If you’d like, you can even try out a lesson before committing to the entire package. Every online homeschool art class can be completed in one sitting or divided into multiple sessions, making it an easy addition to any student’s routine. The time required for students to complete each lesson varies by age and learning style, but likely won’t exceed about 2 hours.

Homeschool Art Curriculum for Kindergarteners
The Great Artist Program is designed for students of all ages, including those just starting out. Our kindergarten package, Animals Around the World, is our online homeschool art class for the youngest artists.
In Animals Around the World, children and students get to create wonderful drawings of animals in their natural habitats using our step-by-step drawing and coloring video guides. In this kindergarten-level package, kids learn essential creative skills and concepts, including lines, colors, shapes, composition, symmetry, texture, color blending, patterns, and so much more. Encourage young children to create art they’re proud of and learn lifelong skills they’ll take with them for years to come with Animals Around the World.

Meet the Teacher Behind the Great Artist Program
Laurie White is a mom, wife, artist, teacher, and founder of the Great Artist Program’s homeschool curriculum. Combining her degree in early childhood and elementary education with over 30 years of experience, dedication, and love, Laurie created GAP with the belief that everyone is an artist—they just may need help and resources to discover their creativity.
We created our homeschool art classes in response to the growing need for better access to art education. Laurie spent over 20 years pouring her passion and soul into creating a homeschool art program that would pave the way for young artists, giving them access to an online education system they need to thrive.
The Great Artist Program’s homeschool curriculum isn’t just about teaching students to color or draw—it’s about showing them that they can create their own beautiful artwork with confidence. We believe that every student has everything they need to succeed within themselves, and our online courses are designed to help that creativity come alive.
Our program gives students an appreciation for the scope and sequence of the great
artists throughout history, and helps them become the great artists of the future. The Great Artist Program’s homeschool creative curriculum is a classical liberal arts program that spans the Renaissance movement of the 1400s to the feminist art movement of the 1970s and continues to the present day.
